The Yankees are now 8-0 when they score one run or more. What’s their record when they don’t? …🤓

Wasn't on the threads much this weekend, but did see most of the Toronto games. Offense looks good. Pitching ehhh. Still early for sure and good record can't complain too much, but almost blowing a game they led 6-0 was not a good experience.

Don't understand why they didn't get another pitcher or two in offseason. I mean I understand. It was the luxury tax. But they should have just blown through it like the Mets/Dodgers did.

Right even an average but experienced pitcher for some stability. The depth just seems pretty low. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

POTG....Stanton HM....bullpen have company up for the eclipse so didn't see much of the game (did see stanton's GS), but reading the comments complaining about the bullpen find a bit of irony in the pen's HM which i agree with. guess the complaining was mostly about cousins because it looks like the rest of the guys did a great job. we do need to be getting more than 4 1/3 out of the starters because these guy's arms are gonna fall off by june. if gil can improve his command, the guy will be a real weapon. has wipeout stuff.
great to see stanton's bomb. would be great if he did somehow turn things around and has a productive season. certainly rooting for him to do so.
volpe continues to make a case for batting lead-off. 3 more hits and 2 SB. dropping gleyber down to an rbi position would be a good thing. ocab leading the team in rbi after 10 games. bizarro world.
off to see the sun's vanishing act!!

I guess I (like many) should probably change my stance on Stanton. Yes he has always been a little streaky but clearly he can still hit. We will see how long this lasts.

29 players have hit 3 HR in a game against the Yankees… c That's a lot, what's wrong with our pitchers?

Of course, how long can they sustain this with the bullpen getting worked as hard as it is?

It would certainly be a big benefit to the Yankees to have a productive contract, since it's doubtful that they would dump his contract.

I guess I (like many) should probably change my stance on Stanton. Yes he has always been a little streaky but clearly he can still hit. We will see how long this lasts. If as you say, many believe that Stanton could still hit, because of 2 game streak that raised his avg and obp to .214 and .242 and lowered his k rate to 45% Then the Yankees have to trade Stanton immediately to aquire pitching. Take a pitching prospect or 2 in return ... eat half of the remaining salary and use the cap savings for pitching !!!! Do not wait till he goes 0-12 with 6ks !!!!!

Stanton is what he is. He doesn't play the field unless it's a must. He no longer can run at 100% because his legs. We have to hold our breath hoping he doesn't get injured. He is a .200 hitter who gets in a slump where he looks lost at the plate. BUT when he connects he hits some monster HRs. He is a DH on a team the needs to DH for other players. At this point we have to hope he continues to hit to protect the lower part of the lineup. His hitting will only help this team. That being said his salary is not worth what he offers and I will always stand behind it will be better when he is gone.
