Gets a splitter up and in, a hanger, and he jams himself by a hair, so his deep fly to right dies on the track, Springer catches, as Verdugo tags and moves on to 3rd with 2 down.

Big slow curve thigh high, outer half, and Grisham is way out front because of the sequencing, taking the FB down the middle the pitch before, hits a lazy fly to right center, easy play for Keirmeier, inning over.
That's what happens when you've been a bad hitter for a while. You have no confidence in anything, so you take the meatball down the middle on 2-0 that you should kill, and mentally you set yourself for another, and get tricked by the slow curve.
