Springer fouls off a change Then Gil yanks a 2nd change way outside and down, gets away for a wild pitch, run scores, other two move up a base. 2nd and 3rd, 1 out, down 2-1.
Yanks get a big break.
Grounder to Cabrera's left, he turns and looks at home, and VARSHO STOPS FOR NO REASON, then Cabrera throws out Bichette, 2 down.

To get out of this inning with only 2 runs is a miracle

Kiermaier helps Gil out, big time. Giving up only 2...I'll take it.

1-0 change inside corner waist high to Guerrero, and he hits it hard to the left side, but right to Cabrera, who picks it up, throws out Guerrero, inning over.
PHEWWWWW!!!! Coulda been much much worse guys.
Top 3, 2-1 Jays. 31 pitches in the 2nd for Gil and 51 through 2.
Top of the order for the Yanks in the 3rd.

MUCH worse. Jays could've had 4+ runs that inning. Or MUCH MUCH worse, Boone might've left Gil out there until he hurt his arm.

Lucky to escape with only 2 runs allowed. Hopefully Gil magically finds something inbetween innings.

Guerrero's grounder to 3rd was 111 mph.
1-1 on Volpe. Curve outside, 2-1 Nice try, tried to go to right with the cutter low, but was late, fouled it off. Cutter up and in, count goes full.
BE-YOU-TEE-FUl!! Sinker in, but he just inside outs it through the right side for a single.

Soto hits a deep fliner to center, Volpe doesn't read it right away, Keirmeier catches, Volpe has to race back to first, the throw goes way over first, but Kirk backs it up.
Judge up, man on 1st, 1 down.

Soto fliner was 109 mph.
Judge takes a 1-0 sinker just low, Volpe goes for 2nd, Kirk gets the throw off in a hurty, Biggio tries to tag too soon, loses the catch, stolen base.
