Corrections: That would be Cortes, not Cortas. Series, not series series.

I chose..6 Man Rotation with the option of Cole pitching on 4 days rest for an important series series, because in my opinion, that would keep Gil and Schmidt in the starting rotation. It also helps with keeping Gil's pitch count in order. Plus, that option is less stressful to Cole while the Yankees still have the option to start Cole on 4 days rest for a big game/series.

I voted to move Schmidt to the pen, but as history has shown us, things will sort themselves out because one of these pitchers will be on the inured list by the time Cole is ready.

I just don't think 6 man rotation is an option. Boone and Cashman won't allow it. So move Gil to the pen since he's the one with the low innings limit. His stuff would play up in the pen too.

I thought about that too, but the way Gil has been pitching I'd like to see him stay in the starting rotation. Anyway, it's a good problem for the Yankees to have.

My guess is that there's probably going to be either a Schmidt/Gil piggyback or a Gil/Schmidt piggy back. I should have included that as one of the options in the poll.

I voted Gil to the bullpen, though I’d love to see him is the rotation. That would give us two very effective pitchers between Gil and Weaver to cover the short starts of Schmidt, and if anyone else happens to get knocked out of a game early.
I am concerned about potentially injuring Gil’s arm if we push him too hard this year…

I'm going to wait until we are closer to Coles return but if I had to make a decision today it might be Stroman. I didn't like the signing and while he has been better than I expected I sense he's starting a bit of a decline. Hope he proves me wrong, but I think Gil and Schmidt are both young pitchers who seem to be getting better. I'd like to see that continue. Now, if despite what they have said and Gil is actually on an innings limit then he's your huckleberry.
