I love Dominguez and think he will play in the Yankee outfield for years to come, but I don't think Verdugo is going anywhere. The Yankees love him and he's the one who came up with "we're dawgs out there". Things have a way of shaking out. He's the best player we've had out there since Gardner. Agreed. As I've previously said, Verdugo is exactly the type of player this team needs. Ideally, Yanks are eventually able to move Stanton to make room for Dominguez in '25... an OF of Verdugo, Judge, Soto & Dominguez...pick your DH from that group. That 2025 scenario would be great.
I'm just wondering if the Yankees would want to mess with their team's chemistry this season by trading Verdugo. The other side of the coin is... Maybe the Yankees want to have a player like Dominguez in their starting lineup ASAP because he looks like he going to be a special player.

I don't believe Yanks will or should trade Verdugo. He's a player that may fly under the radar, but IMO his contribution this year has been significant..defensively & offensively. As I said, an OF of Judge, Soto, Dominguez & Verdugo IMO would be ideal. DH is not the static position it initially was; any one of those 4 guys could rotate as needed...they'd all get their ABs. Of course Jones is waiting in the wings. I know he's a good OF...but could he or one of the others transition to 1B?

One solution would be to transition Judge to first base. He’s a fine OF but within the next few seasons the strain on his legs may begin to show. It could lengthen his career to become a 1B/DH/OF that can do some of each.
It’s almost unthinkable but we have a lot of younger legs on this team, and several of them happen to be outfielders.
As for Jones, he’s not exactly tearing the cover off the ball this season, so hold yer’ horses. Fingers crossed for now…

Dugo is the type of player this team needs. As with several Yankees, he might be a good add to many MLB rosters. It is going to be about the price.

I haven't seen you posting much lately? Maybe you have and I'm just not paying attention but I usually try to pay attention to what you have to say.

I never could type...but now it is worse, I miss the exchanges but still like to read what you and some of the other good fans have to say.

Have you thought about using speech to text software? They are often free.

I used one at work and found I spent lots of time "cleaning" my dictation. That said...it could be the best option I have.

Dome has been struggling with that as well. I have carpal tunnel syndrome but have adapted by typing with one thumb, which I can do pretty well…

Dominguez returning tells me Grisham will be heading elsewhere.

I think Verdugo will be too expensive to keep, hate to say it. If you can get him for cheap, nice. But I'd ensure we free up room for Dominguez by 2025, by which he will have accomplished everything in his rehab and AAA time.

As much as I love Soto, I think he will be too expensive. Dominguez in center, Verdugo in left, Judge in right. I do like the idea of Judge at first base.
