Even more standings...
In the NL Central, the Brewers won their third straight, climbed back to 9 games over, and a game in 1st place. The Cubs have won 5 of 7, are 6 games over and 1 game back. The Pirates finally called up Paul Skenes, and he started yesterday, but didn't last long enough for a win. They outlasted the Cubs 10-9, but are just 7-17 in their last 24. They're somehow still in 3rd, 4 games under, 5 games out of 2nd and 6 1/2 out of 1st. The Reds lost for the 9th time in 10 games yesterday, are 5 games under, 1/2 behind the Pirates in 4th and 7 games out of 1st. The Cards lost their best hitter this season, catcher Wilson Contreras to a broken arm, lost their 7th in a row, and are seemingly on and unstoppable plunge to last place. They're now 9 games under, 2 behind the Reds, 2 1/2 back of the Pirates, 7 1/2 back of the Cubs, and 9 games out of first.

Almost perfect. High 70's and sunny. How is it in New York? 51 and rainy. I took my Mom to Sunday brunch. I'm on the IL from walking because I twisted my knee somehow. Hope its okay in a couple days. Sorry to hear that you're out of the line up. Twisted it walking? Or, running for ice cream? |

That's a five-"well" HR at least, pres. And good afternoon to you. Volpe takes a cutter inside, then a FB inside at the top that's called strike 1 anyway. Then gets a change just below middle, and drives it to deep center, Siri goes back to the track and catches, 1 down. Almost, Anthony. |
