3rd game is tomorrow afternoon at 1:10, getaway day. Yanks have a chance to sweep the series, and go 5-1 on the trip.
Thankfully, the game is back on YES.
Clarke Schmidt, 4-1, 2.95 ERA and coming off the longest start of his career, 6 2/3 shutout ball vs. the Rays, will go for the Yanks.
Joe Ryan 2-2, 3.21 ERA, who really hasn't had what you could call a bad start this year yet, will try to help the Twins avoid getting swept at home.
OK, time for me to check notifications, and see if I missed anything.

Verdugo's double was 110.1 mph, by comparison. I thought it had a chance. I did, too, off the bat. Not to be. |

The entire team resigned? Resonated? Redecorated? You don’t have to be a genius to announce sports. Most likely 97% plus of the listeners never noticed a thing… Ain't that the truth. All these "screamers" prove it every game. |

Ferguson gets up to throw, calming no fan who's watching. For a while I called him a good pitcher who got off to a bad start. Now, I’ll call him A good pitcher who got off to a bad start, then just as he was turning things around had a bad game. I’m not down on him Yet… I agree. He was good enough to pitch real innings for a very good Dodgers team, and some of them must have been key innings. My knock on him is more of a fan's "What have you done for me lately, Caleb?" Not very mature, just the way I feel about him right now. Could change by the end of the month. Or the week, for that matter. He was more than OK tonight. |
