Nearly picked Volpe on the throw over.
Then Ryan steps off.
Splitter low by about 3-4 inches, 2-2 on Soto.
FB just low/away, Volpe goes, Vazquez tries to throw but drops on transfer, stolen base for Volpe, 3-2 on Soto.
FB on the high outside corner, swung under for the K, and it's safe to say that at 3 for his last 25, Soto is in his first slump as a Yankee.
Bottom 2, 3-0 Yanks.
14 pitches for Ryan in the 2nd, 43 through 2.

Curve almost in the same spot, hits it hard to 3rd, Berti playing in, has to smother it against himself, throws him out, 2 down.

Judge annoyed at taking that good pitch, calls his timeout.

FB waist high, inner 3rd, hammered over 3rd toward the corner in left, rolls to the wall, goes for a leadoff double for Judge.

Same splitter he threw Verdugo for the swing and miss on strike 3, but Torres spoils it.

Hanging slider up and in, Torres tries to pull it, misses under, pops to Margot in short center, 2 down.

Splitter low away, 1-1 Splitter low 2-1 FB at the top swung under, 2-2 FB up and in, hit to deep left, it clears the low fence, but a fan reaches over the railing and backhands the HR ball with his glove. Apparently that's still a HR in this park, so the Yanks lead 1-0!!  |
