Jimenez chases a change tailing outside, 0-1 Can't check on a slider low, 0-2 Swings over a slider down and in, K, inning over.
Easy 1-2-3 for Rodon, just 12 pitches. Bottom 1, 0-0.

Volpe leads off for the Yanks... FB outside at 92, 1-0 FB runs inner and thigh high, Volpe late and under, fouls it off, 1-1 Cutter on the outside corner, waist high, swung on and missed, 1-2 Big breaking curve winds up waist high, inner half, bounced foul off 3rd Cutter below the outside corner by 6 inches, 2-2 Another cutter a bit higher, but outside the zone, chases and barely spoils, tipping it toward the Yankee dugout. FB on the outside corner, fouled off. Volpe working the count here. Slider in the zone, bounced hard down 3rd, goes off Medick's mitt on a backhand lunge, goes into foul ground back of 3rd, becomes a leadoff double for Volpe. Good start.

What an AB by Volpe! Saw a ton of pitches then lines a double down the 3rd base line.

Big slow curve backs up way high to Soto, 1-0 Soto shows bunt takes a cutter that just missed the high outside corner, 2-0 Spins around counter-clockwise and tries to pick Volpe, but he gets back safe. Tries to tail a FB to the inside corner, misses 3 inches inside, ball 3 Sinker in the zone thigh high, outside middle, rolled over to the right side, Vaughn comes off the bag, fields, flips to Flexen. Soto out, Volpe to 3rd with 1 out. White Sox bring the infield in for Judge.

Cutter inside to Verdugo, 1-0 Change outside near the top, 2-0 Verdugo goes after a change diving just low/away, foul tips it off Maldonado, 2-1 Cutter up in the zone away, Verdugo misses it, fouls it almost straight back, 2-2 Change tails well outside, popped over 3rd, slices foul and Julks races in and makes a backhand catch just after crossing the line, inning over. Bad inning after the leadoff double.
Top 2, 0-0 20 pitches in the 1st for Flexen.
DeJong, Julks and Lee for the White Sox in the 2nd.

FB misses 4 inches outside, called strike 1 anyway. Bad call, not close, really. Change outside, 1-1 Change low, 2-1 on DeJong. FB waist high on the outside corner, rolled over to Berti at 3rd, throws him out, 1 down
