Berti gets a 1st pitch hanging cutter waist high, outside corner, and he discovers where right field is, drives it to the right center warm weather jet stream, and it carries just over the wall for his 1st HR of the season, a huge 3 run shot. Yanks take a 5-2 lead!!!

Volpe takes a curve on the high inside corner for a strike, then swings on a curve on the low outside corner and flies out to Pham in center to end the inning.
Top 5, 5-2 Yanks
Huge momentum swing with Rodon striking out 3 with 1st and 2nd and nobody out, and the Yanks getting another big HR, this one a shock blow from the light hitting Berti.
Just 11 pitches for Flexen that inning, but it was disastrous. He's at 70 through 4.
Mendick, Remillard and Maldonado, 7-8-9 for the White Sox in the 5th,

I think he's getting this Cole Methodâ„¢ thing down.
Slider low, 1-1
Fb outside corner, waist high, 1-2
Slider low, 2-2
Slider inside 3-2
And Rodon challenges with the 3 run lead as he should. FB at 97(!) above middle, lined back to Rodon, who stabs it for the out, 1 down. Scary, but a big 1st out.

Slider on the backdoor maybe got a tiny piece of the low corner, not called, 2-1
FB waist high outer 3rd, lifted to medium left center, Verdugo goes over and catches, 2 down

Throw over on Pham, who might run despite being down 3 runs.

Pham goes, and the change misses down and in, and by the time Trevino can dig it out and throw, Pham is too far to 2nd, and the throw isn't nearly in time. Stolen base, man on 2nd, 2 down.

Tries to hump up, but doesn't finish the pitch, and if flies way high. Trevino does well to prevent the wild pitch.
Humps up again to 96, FB up and in jams Vaughn completely. his high pop behind 2nd...Torres moves back to his right, then has to come back the other way, and catches, inning over.
You know, I think Rodon is catching on to this Cole MethodÂâ„¢ thing, and it's getting him out of jams, and keeping him in games for an extra inning or so.
Bottom 5, 5-2 Yanks.
20 pitches for Rodon in the 5th, and 89 through 5.
Soto, Judge and Verdugo get their 3rd look at Flexen in the 5th.
