Cutter gets a piece of the corner away, just below the waist, 2-1
Another slider like the 1st, pretty much bounced outside, 3-1

First time I’ve really paid attention to Frazier’s broadcasting chops. He doesn’t get many good reviews. So far I’d rate him as tolerable… but no ONeill…

1st and 2nd, 1 out for Canzone.
Canzone a well regarded rookie hitting prospect.

Just to make sure I wasn't hallucinating, Verdugo was 6-40, .150 in his last 10 starts. So he wasn't hot hitting, until he hit the hot 2 run double. Raley takes a slow curve near middle, 0-1 Gets another on the outside corner waist high, smacked back up the middle for a leadoff single. . Great to see him back… |

But like many rookies do, thinks he sees a crushable FB, but it's a splitter tailing away to the corner waist high, and he rolls over on it to Torres, who immediately starts a 4-6-3 DP to get out of the jam.
Bottom 2, 2-0 Yanks.
The 1 pitch DP ball holds the pitch count for the inning to just 12 and 24 through 2 for Stroman.
Torres, Trevino and Berti for the Yanks in their 2nd.

frazier has been talking about how stroman doesn't throw as hard as he used to. sitting mostly in the mid/high 80's hitting 90 a couple times. he really has to be perfect or have great movement to live there.

Great to see him back… Yep...they need him to be effective between Judge and Stanton, to prevent the opposition from bringing righties in the late innings. Torres takes a strike, a FB near middle Then another one, waist high, outer 3rd. Gonna have to swing a one of them, Gleyber Slider low/away, 1-2 FB at the top outer half at 97, and Torres smacks it toward the corner in right, but Canzone playing that way, get the good route and runs down the slicing fliner for the 1st out. |

Yankees are 102-62 vs Seattle since 2002. Though they haven't swept too many of those series a lot of 2 of 3 ones.
