Berti takes a FB for a strike, inner 3rd above the waist.
2nd FB in the middle just below the top, popped to center. Rodriguez comes in, catches, inning over.
Very easy 1-2-3 for Gilbert in the 2nd, just 7 pitches, and 26 through 2.
Top 3, 2-0 Yanks.
France, Urias, then back to the top for Rojas for the Mariners in the 3rd.

Then another in the middle, letter high, 0-2
Slurve two feet outside, taken, 1-2
Slider a foot and a half low and outside, 2-2
Hanging slurve waist high outer 3rd, but France pulls off it and bounces it foul off 3rd.
Tries to drop a cutter onto the high outside corner, misses high, 3-2
Nice cutter in the zone low/away, foul tipped into the mitt for the K, 1 down.

Jams him a bit with a slider inside, tapped back to Stroman, throws him out, inning over.
Another excellent 1-2-3 for Stroman in the 3rd, just 11 pitches and 35 through 3.
Soto, Judge and Verdugo get their 2nd look at Gilbert in the Yankees' 3rd.

Excellent sequencing, follow the FB up with a splitter to the same spot but lower, he tries to check late but the 3rd base ump rings him up
Side view says it's marginal, but it's still a K, 2 down.

Slider thigh high in the middle, rolled over down 3rd, Urias backhands, takes a beat, then fires way long on the home plate side, France understandably shies off with Judge barreling down toward him, goes as an E-5, Judge on 1st, 2 outs, Verdugo up.

FB down the middle, Verdugo squares it up a bit too squarely, and the line drive goes right to Canzone to end the inning.
Top 4, 2-0
15 pitches for Gilbert in the 3rd, and 41 through 3.
Rodriguez, Raleigh and Raley return to rake (or try to rake) for the M's in the 4th.

Splitter dives well low on the outer half, 2-0 on Raleigh
Gives a little hesitation mid-delivery, slider misses inside, 3-0
Cutter backs up over the inner 3rd, 3-1
Slider hangs in a crushable spot a bit above and inside of middle, but Raleigh misses, fouls it it, then flops the bat in disgust, 3-2
And now he has even more reason to be disgusted, chases a splitter diving low for the K. 2 down.
