Just a plain dumb move. Fight back from a 4-0 hole and then you bring in a AAA pitcher who struggled at that level and it sucks the momentum away

in 12 games at Scranton he pitched to a 6.60 ERA so what makes them think he can pitch at the ML level?

FB about 6 inches outside near the top, 1-1
Slider outside, but called strike 2 anyway, another bad call off the plate away, 1-2
Slider well low/away, France checks well in time, 2-2
FB in the zone up and in, fouled off, still 2-2
FB waist high, outside corner, hit hard up the middle, Torres dives to his backhand, deflects it past Volpe, who recovers and overlooks the force at 2nd, his throw to 1st is late, infield hit.
Mental error by Volpe there.

Andrews was probably already on it. 0-2 FB up in the xone to Garver, he hits a fliner to right, but Soto is there, 2 down, runners hold. |
