Slurve low and away, ball 1 on Tatis
Chases a cutter outside, 1-1
Take a cuter in the zone above and inside middle, 1-2
Fouls off a slider on the corner away, above the knees, 1-2
Tries to back a sinker onto the outside corner above the waist, Tatis is on time bur fouls it almost straight back.
Cutter above middle, and Stroman gets lucky, Tatis misses, fouls it off
And a FB at the top, but about 2-3 inches outsie, chased by Tatis, misses it for the K, 2 down.

Verdugo gets a good jump and comes in to make a nice catch, quick inning for Stroman.

Sinker misses low and away, cutter in the drop the bat happy zone down and in, he drops the bat on it but pulls it well foul, 1-1
Sinker above and inside middle, but Profar is late on it, inside outs a fliner to left, but Verdugo gets his usual good jump and route, makes it look easy, inning over.
Top 4, 2-0 Yanks.
13 pitch 1-2-3 for Stroman in the 3rd, and 50 pitches total so far.
The last man to reach vs. Cease is Judge, who leads off the 4rd, to be followed by Verdugo and Stanton.
All other AL East games were over earlier:
Tigers beat the Jays 6-2,
O's rallied late, beat the White Sox 5-3
Royals scored 3 in the 11th, beat the Rays 7-4
The Brewers toopsed the Red Sox 6-3.

Another bad slider this one just below middle, and Judge lines it past 3rd and into the corner for a leadoff double.

Slider at the knees in the middle, 0-1 on Verdugo, 0-1
FB at the top in the middle, Verdugo inside outs a liner to left that falls in front of Profar, Judge reads as a hit right away, and runds 3rd by a lot, but the coach threw up the stop sign and he has to dive back to avoid geting picked by the cutoff man.
1st and 3rd, nobody out for Stanton.

Slider low, barely spoiled
Slider in the zone up and away, tapped off home, rolls fair, Stanton doesn't move, but Fortunately, Verdugo is alert, prevents the throw to 2nd for the force and a DP, Campusano turns and throws Stanton out at 1st, 1 down.

Swings over a slider down and in, 1-2
Slider even more down and in, pulled foul off 1st with that choke-up swing.

O'Neill catches something crucial, says Rizzo risking the FB getting blown by him by moving up in the box, to get the low slider before the bottom drops out, gets a slider about 4-5 inches low outside middle, pulls it to right for a RBI single. 3-0 Yanks.
Verdugo to 3rd with 1 down.
Great move by Rizzo and a great pickup on the move by Paulie in the booth. Not something we can see for ourselves on the CF shot.
