Assume what you want...or you can deal with the reality. The Reality is Gleyber made an error that started a 4 run inning that worst case probably would have been a 1 run inning if he did not He didn't "start" anything. He had no control over what happened after the error, regardless of whether you and others wanna give Schmidt, Gonzalez & Rizzo a pass. The only way any player can justifiably be held responsible for anything that happens after an error/misplay is if the error/misplay happened on what would've been the 3rd out of the inning.

Xavier Nady? I had to look at the roster of the 2008 Yanks to get that one. I thought for a second that it might have been José Vizcaíno, but he never played for the Padres. I now see that he wasn't even playing MLB in 2008. It wasn't an easy one, Max. I had to get help to get it.

I wonder if Kuhn would have voided Ohtani's deferred contract. Article XVI of the MLBPA directly addressed deferred payments. The Ohtani deal was novel but written within guidelines. Thank you Pat.
