I agree with this completely, though I believe Torres will be back… and might get moved to third base…(oh, crap. I said it, didn’t I?)… I have a feeling Torres will go somewhere else in free agency unless the Yankees match the deal. Since Hal has publicly stated the Yankees will be attempting to lower costs, some combination/option of Peraza, Durbin, or Waldo may be their projection, as I expect DJ will man first base next season. There has been some speculation that the Mets might try to sign Torres.

Why do doctor’s appointments even have times? And, then they always ask you to arrive 15 minutes before the appointment. PITA So you can wait even longer than usual... I can't remember who said it, I think it was a comedian, but he said that..."They don't teach punctuality at medical school."

Wells jumps on a 1st pitch hanging slider just below middle, hits a deep fly to the wall in right, but Adell calmly reaches up and catches, wouldn't have been a HR, 1 down. I thought for a second that ball that was hit to Adell was going to say hello from the other side of the fence. Yeah, but as with Oakland, San Francisco and San Diego, these West Coast parks near the coastline have that maritime air influence chopping significant carry off of deep drives, especially with night games, and after sunset.

True...but Petco, Oracle & Oakland Coliseum are either on or within a mile or two of the coastline. Angel Stadium is at least 15 miles away from the beach.

I still think they have a similar effect. Both Kay and O'Neill were talking about it. Dodgers' Stadium has it, too... Let me see here...just opened up Google Earth, and used the line measuring thingy...Angels Stadium is roughly 12 miles from the coast at it's closest point, Dodgers Stadium is about 14 miles from the coast. T-Mobile (formerly Safeco) is also right on the water. The three you named and Safeco are all on the water or no more than 1/4 mile from it. All those West Coast parks seem to cut down the distance of deep drives after sunset, making home runs harder to hit.
