I was just waiting till last minute to see if lauren was going to do it since chiyankee asked her. 
But nice to see bigjeep start a game thread!
I thought she liked starting them.  Anyway, with the way this team is playing, morning game thread starts to get some pregame chatter going isn't a bad idea I do, just want to do it occasionally so the many posters here have ample opportunities to equally do so. |

FB well high over the middle, ball 1
Change low/away, ball 2
Change clips the outside corner, Soto gets the Soto call, ball 3
FB starts inside, tales over the inner 3rd, 3-1
Swings under a hittable FB just inside and above middle, 3-2
FB at the top inside corner, and Soto puts it in orbit, pulling a very long shot just fair down the line in right, way back in the bottom deck, 1-0 Yanks!!!
My joy at that is tempered by the Rangers taking another penalty and Verhage getting a power play goal, putting the Rangers behind 2-1. Florida just crushing them again this period.

Here's a thought. Should LeMahieu and Volpe switch places? I have to believe opportunities for Volpe stealing is stymied with Soto and Judge batting behind him. Question remains if LeMahieu of old will turn up to be a respectable lead off hitter. For sure Volpe has be hot in delivering hits. I'm wondering his valuable skill sets to steal is more available in the lower portion of the lineup? What are your thoughts. I love Volpe leading off. It reminds him that his job is to get on base and makes use of his foot speed. DJ can do a lot to make the lineup a bit longer and that would be a big help. |

Many on the yes boards know I'm a fan of LeMahieu. Just hopes he gets going in contributing for our Yankees.
