And with that, the pre-game hoo-hah is over, and I go to make a sandwich for myself for dinner. (If you must know, roast beef and swiss on rye bread with thousand island dressing, good enough?) See you guys a little less two hours from now for warmups and first pitch. Thats almost like a NY, NJ Sloppy Joe! Minus the cole slaw, I guess, but yeah.

Thats almost like a NY, NJ Sloppy Joe! Minus the cole slaw, I guess, but yeah. I'm in the midst of making tofu with scallion/cilantro/peppers, minced ginger and garlic in a spicy bean sauce with added chili crisp and sesame oil...on a bed of rice.

There's at least three things in there that Inger won't even try. I'm not sure about the bed of rice. Inger might try a futon of rice or more likely a small ottoman of rice.

as we speak, prepping asparagus (eat it almost every day at this time of the year with the garden producing a bunch daily) w cherry tomatoes and beyond steak sauteed w garlic and jalapeno over tricolor pasta topped w romano cheese (only locatelli of course).

I love asparagus ...lightly sauteed with garlic or roast them. Have you had garlic scapes or ramps? They are delicious. Ramps are essentially wild leeks. They are in season right now. you can make compound butter with ramps. I dehydrate them for multiple usage, Sauteed ramps in olive oil added to pasta with grated cheese.

I went to David Chang's Momofuku Ko restaurant before it closed in NYC. One of the best meals I've ever eaten. ny.eater.com/2023/10/24/23930301/momofuku-ko-closing-david-chang
