I grew up in the south, but thank whoever that my mother grew up in New England and never cooked okra. Of course, everything we ate was cooked to death. I love gumbo, but would not eat okra by itself. Broccoli, cauliflower and lima beans can all rot in hell.

Cutter hits the zone at the top near the corner away, not called. Judge gets a break on the 1st pitch, 1-0. Change at the knees outside middle, strike 1 Cutter overthrown way high, 2-1 Change way low 3-1 Change inside, ball 4. Judge walks. Bases loaded, nobody out for Verdugo Stanton, batting 4th tonight.

Terrible call. What is Soto supposed to do in that situation? He's got to be allowed to go back to the base. BS. Boone thrown out.

And with that, the pre-game hoo-hah is over, and I go to make a sandwich for myself for dinner. (If you must know, roast beef and swiss on rye bread with thousand island dressing, good enough?) See you guys a little less two hours from now for warmups and first pitch. Thats almost like a NY, NJ Sloppy Joe! What, no Cole slaw?!!?!?

It shouldn't be lost here but that was a terrible at bat by Stanton.

Leave it to Stanton to hit the ball right there…

Change popped high over 2nd on the 1st pitch, infield fly rule called. Soto a step off 2nd, just steps back on the bag at the last moment, bumps Neto, who misjudged and leans back to catch, and the ball drops, and the umps call Soto out for interference. Weird double play.
The Angels announcers are yelling that it's the right call, and that it happened in the O's White Sox game last week, but that call was called wrong by the league office. The difference is that Soto moved at the last second and they bumped and it's a judgment call. a much more closer example of interference. It sucks, but if Soto gets to the bag immmediately, and Neto bumps him, it's not interference. However, if Soto remains off 2nd, then Neto can catch the ball while standing on 2nd and if Soto's off 2nd, and it's a DP

Leave it to Stanton to hit the ball right there… Pops up the first pitch after Anderson just walked two batters.
