Well, Boone said there were a lot worse umpires than Angel Hernandez. Case in point tonight on a ridiculous infield fly rule call. This one is apparently called correctly. If Soto is standing on the base and makes no motion to interfer, the no interference can be called. But Soto lunged back to the bag late and they bumped. If the ump says that interference is intentional, then the call is correct. It did not appear to be I be intentional, Soto circled around him…

Change bounced to Stanton, 1-0 Change bounced again, 2-0 Misjudges the FB running inside, jams himself, and the low pop bounces to Schnauel, who takes it to the bag to end the inning. 1-2-3 for Anderson on 13 pitches and 53 through 3. Bottom 3, 0-0 8-9-1 for the Angels: Neto, Guillorme and Schnauel.

You would think one of the four umpires would have seen Soto trying to go around Neto, then see Neto intentionally back into Soto and then intentionally drop the ball to get a DP call.

Jays beat the White Sox 3-1. Rays got a run in the bottom of the 9th on a single by Siri, and beat the A's 4-3.

Anderson, what with the double foot pump? He's doing the Elaine dance from Seinfeld.

Neto... Change low, 1-0 FB waist high outer 3rd, fouled, 1-1 Slider just outside, rolled over to DJ, takes a beat, makes a good throw to Rizzo, 1 down.

Soto intentionally went behind Neto to the back of the bag, rather than straight to the bag. Neto misjudged the pop fly moving backwards toward the bag. Neto would have collided with Soto standing on second regardless.

Maybe if we had one competent ump out of the four.

Guillorme... FB low, 1-0 FB on the outside corner above the knees, taken for a strike, 1-1 Fb outside, 2-1 FB well high, outer half, 3-1 FB outside middle above the knees, 3-2 FB yanked low on the inner 3rd, ball 4.

Is Kay suggesting to limiting Gil by placing him in the pen when Cole returns?

I don’t know if Neto is that game aware, but if he is, let’s trade for him…

It did not appear to be I be intentional, Soto circled around him… Be I be? Let it be so… The original title of the McCartney song: "Be I Be." Little known fact...
