TOnkin had it all the way! He showed perserverance and resolution, pres. Sorry, can't help those terrible historical puns.

Fouls off a sinker near middle "The slowness of greatness is hard to bear... I think that's "genius"... You are correct. It is genius. I blew the quote. Thanks for the correction.

great start by rodon. ran out of gas in the 7th. 1st yankee starter to have allowed 3 runs in quite a while. will give him potg.
we only got 5 hits but took advantage of a bunch of walks. judge's HR got it started and soto's triple the big blow. will give both honorable mention.
back to our high water mark of 20 games over.

3rd star of the game: Judge for the 2 run HR in the 4th that took the Yanks from 1 down to the lead 2-1. 2nd star: Soto again, for the 3 run triple that broke the game open in the 7th and two walks. 1st star: Rodon, who wasn't dominant, but still threw his 5th good game in a row and got another win, and is now 7-2 on the season with a 3.09 ERA. Honorable mention to DJ Lemahieu for the big hit and run single that set up the big 5 run 7th that broke it open, a walk and two runs scored. Hm for Volpe for the unselfish walk! …

Fouls off a sinker near middle "The slowness of greatness is hard to bear... I think that's "genius"... But it could be slow genius. Like me… I don’t reveal my wealth of knowledge all at once. I pass it out one nugget at a time. Just like a rabbit…

Yanks take the short plane hop up the coast to San Francisco, starting a 3 game series against the Giants, who have pleye well lately, winning 10 of their last 13. They're tied for 2nd in the NL West, percentage points ahead of the Padres, both 6 1/2 games behind the Dodgers.
First game is tomorrow night at 10:15 on YES; Marcus Stroman, who's pitch three very good games in a row to drop his ERA to 2.79, goes for the Yanks. Converted reliever Jordan Hicks, who doesn't go deep into games, but is 4-1 with a 2.33 ERA (6th in the NL) in 11 starts, goes for the Giants.
Game 2 is Saturday night at 10:05, again on YES; Cody Poteet making a fill-in start for Clark Schmidt (on the IL with a strained lat), his 2nd of the season after being called up to pitch the 2nd game of a double-header in Cleveland in mid-April (and he did a great job going 6 and allowing just one run for the win in that one) will go for the Yanks. Giants' ace Logan Webb goes for the Giants. He's 4-4 with a 2.74 ERA, and has pitched four excellent games in a row coming in and is tied for the MLB lead in starts with 12 already.
Game 3 is Sunday afternoon at 4:05 pm, also on YES. Nestor Cortes tries to throw his 2nd good road game in a row for the Yanks, he's 3-4 with a 3.30 ERA so far this year. Opposing will be the two-time Cy Young Award winner, who has made five starts since signing late as a free agent with the Giants, and not a one of them has been even decent. He's 0-3 with an ERA of 10.42 and a WHIP of two, but the way the Yanks have hit on this trip since knocking out Darvish early the first game in San Diego, I'm sure Snell will dominate them for six.
OK, that's it for the series preview, now to check notifications on replies and likes I missed during the game...

Change outside, 1-0 on Pillar Change outside middle, and Pillar hits a fliner to left center, Judge makes it look easy, inning over. Top 5, 2-1 Yanks. 8 pitch 1-2-3 for Rodon, 46 through 4. Bottom of the order for the Yanks, Torres, Trevino and Cabrera. Judge's 18th HR: 110.0 mph, 433 feet, 34º launch angle, a HR in 52 of 30 MLB parks. Where wouldn't it be a home run? Yellowstone? Just a lil' bit of exaggeration for effect. I do it frequently whenever Judge, Stanton or Soto hit one of their bombs.

Goal went in off Lafreniere's skate, so he gets the goal Unfortunately that empty net goal is the deal breaker. Quite right, lauren. The Rangers' 2nd goal almost didn't matter. I don't think they threatened again.

Isn't the series tied coming into tonight? The series is indeed tied, but the Panthers have been the much better team in about 80% of the playing time. I don't see Rangers finding a way to win games 6 and 7. I'm actually more concerned about 7 if that make sense lol. They have a tendency to win games you never think they would then lose the ones you think they will win. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Some night are like that, especially with West Coast games. You're thinking, how long has this been going on, anyway? Yeah, I have to get up early so this week has been rough. Last season, I was going to bed by the 7th inning, but this team has been so fun, I want to stay up. Know what you mean.

Either play him normal, or bench him for someone you trust. This half-a$$ed crap won't cut it.

Glad to see the Yankees won and won another series. My wishing for 4 hours of sleep might have been an 3 tossing and turning and 1 sleeping. It's going to be a long day.
