Shesterkin forced to make another tough save, still 1-1, 2 minutes left in the 2nd. Shesterkin is without question MVP of this series! Rest of team has got to pick it up. Can't argue that. ============ Pillar takes a curve outside middle, 0-1 Change misses low and outside, 1-1 FB outside at the top, Pillar goes after it and fouls it off. Slider in the middle but well low, Pillar tries to check, but went too far (as shown by the side view) and the 1st base ump correctly rings him up. K, 1 down. |

And on the next pitch, O'Hoppe gets a mediocre letter-high FB in the middle of the plate and O'Hoppe belts it way out to left, 1-0 Angels on the solo HR.

Who did the Yankees bring up to replace Schmidt? I was really surprised that Gomez wasn't pulled from his start for Scranton tonight (he had a good outing in Toledo).

Poorly located curve, hanger, inner 3rd, waist high, and Neto barely misses under, driving Verdugo to the track in left to catch the high fly. Inning over. Almost another gopher ball there.

Every Anaheim pitcher has looked like a top of the rotation starter thus far. Lots of goose eggs. Ever since the huge inning against Darvish, the offense has been a dud on this trip. |
