Well I saw Judge's HR and then passed out on the couch. Woke up and post-game on. Yankees get the W.

Gameday still has it as an error, not sure Kay is right. Estrada takes a thigh high slider near middle, 0-1 Slurve way outside, 1-1 Slurve closer to the corner but still outside, Estrada checks but not in time, 1-2 Slider on the corner away, thigh high, lined to left for a 2 out single. Not a cutter, Paulie, a slider. Estrada... Yeah, I know, was surprised they gave up on him so early after the one bad incident. They got lucky, Volpe is probably the better player, and maybe much better.

The Pirates ghost runner tootblanned himself off base by going to 3rd on a grounder to 3rd, leaving them with man on 1st and 2 down in the 14th The phrase TOOTBLAN always cracks me up. I love it myself, so appropos, one of the few long acronyms that does its job.

That's about right, nw, and good evening to you. Good evening qwik. The only good thing about Rizzo is that we're not stuck paying him long into his decline. As much as his buddy Judge may not like it, Rizzo may lose some ABs in September to Augustin Ramirez. Not sure about Ramirez, but I doubt they keep Rizzo past this season.

OK, have to leave the game thread for a couple of minutes, be back soon. Actually, just left for five minutes to put in an FAAB bid for a pitcher for my struggling fantasy team, had to get it in before midnight.

Insane. I cannot remember a Yankee hitting like this in my lifetime, it's been insane; especially considering how poorly he began the season. Arod had some big seasons in Pinstripes, but he also ran to shelter for ballplayer's little helper. Judge is one of a kind, at least in my lifetime.

It was the cold spell. He’s so good that you wonder how he can go cold…

We have no idea when he will begin to catch up to him. I’ve read articles suggesting that bigger player age out earlier. I have a feeling that this is one guy that will at least continue to hit well into his forties. And may want to… He could easily challenge Hank Aaron’s “real record”, and by default the fake record of Barry the Juice..

True, but the lineup vs. lineup matchup favors the Yankees some; pitching and hitting are opposite sides of same coin; that is, bad pitching leads to good hitting and good pitching leads to bad hitting, and vice versa.

I'm not sure I've seen a call changed twice, although I think they finally got it right.
