The O's got 3 in the 6th, and beat the Rays 3-1.
The Pirates and Jays are in a 2-2 death struggle in the bottom of the 11th in Toronto, both teams scored the ghost runner in the 11th.
The Red Sox beat up Kenta Meada a bit on route to a 7-3 win over the Tigers at Fenway.
So the Sox and O's have picked up a 1/2 game on the Yanks, coming into this game in San Fran, the Rays have lost a 1/2 game and the Jays...we'll see.

I usually quit drinking coffee by 11:00 AM, but I can understand making an exception this week.  I slept less than 5 hrs last night, so I'm kind of groggy. Hang in there! |

Some bad news for the O's and possibly good news for the Yanks, disabled pitchers John Means and Tyler Wells have both been diagnosed with torn UCLS, they're both having Tommy John surgery and both are done for this season, and at least half of next year as well.
