not looking good for the Rangers A masterepiece of understatement, pres, and good evening to you. The good news is, we'll be able to concentrate on the Yankees alone now. Chapman, followed by Yastrzemski and Ramos for the Giants in the 2nd.

So here’s a question. If the Yankees aren’t running Volpe, why are they starting Soto so much with Judge up?… I just don’t get it…

Chapman... Curve into the zone inside corner, 0-1 FB well low, 1-1 FB outside 2-1 Sinker well low, 3-1 Backs the sinker over the outer 3rd, thigh high, 3-2 FB down and in, popped foul out of play right at the end of the Giants dugout.

So here’s a question. If the Yankees aren’t running Volpe, why are they starting Soto so much with Judge up?… I just don’t get it… Probaly because 1) not running Volpe holds the right side open for Soto, 2) you want to run guys in front of Judge to stay out of GIDP. Sinker up and in, fouled back. Sinker inside ties him up, fouled off. Chapman gets a slider near middle and plain misses it for the K, 1 down.

Slider backs up and away to Yastrzemski, 1-0 Sinker in the zone up and away, fouled off, 1-1 Change at the bottom hit hard off first, Rizzo has go way off to make a lunging grab, gets up, throws a strike to Poteet covering, 2 down.

After a near 3 1/2 hour rain delay, the Reds & Cubs begin play at Wrigley. It's rained all day in the Chicago area

I know it’s only 2 innings and he’ll probably get lit up because of this, but how good has Matt Blake been with these pitchers?

Greetings, teammates. Checking in late after switching over from the Rags/Panthers game. Doesn't look like the Rangers have it in them. Anyway, like I said last night...Judge is RIDICULOUS.

Ramos... Sinker outside, ball 1 Sinker gets a piece of the corner away, 1-1 Slider outside corner, fouled off 1-2 FB overthrown way high, 2-2 FB just outside middle at 95(!), and Ramos plain misses it for the K, inning over 17 pitch 1-2-3 for Poteet with 2 K's, 26 pitches through 2. Bottom 2, 2-0 Yanks
Do the Rangers have a shot on net this period? I'm not sure Anyway, down 2-0 with 6 minutes left in the season.
Lemahieu, then back to the top for Volpe and Soto for the Yanks in the 3rd.
