Yanks storm back with 4 in the 9th off a very good closer to win, 7-5!!
Yanks sweep the series, win their 5th game in a row, goes 7-2 on the West Coast, winning all 3 series. and have now won 9 of 11, 16 of 20 and 22 of their last 28. They're now 23 games over for the first time this year at 42-19.
Yanks get the game back from the O's and Red Sox and keep pace with the Rays and Jays. Yanks lead the East by 3 again, the Sox by 11 1/2, and the Rays and Jays by 12 1/2.

From the idiotic observations department, does anyone remember a short-lived 70s sitcom called "Holmes And Yoyo"? I remember John Schuck was in it. About two incompetent cops. Don't all raise your hands at once. I vaguely recall that title, don't think I ever watched an episode. Actually I think I saw something about the series in an article I read online about bad 70's TV. |
