This might have got lost in the traffic of the game posting, but since May 1, opposing batters are hitting .094 (15-160) against Gil. Obscene.  There's Gil crazy stats all over the place. Here's another one. To put it in layman’s terms, he’s been slinging some snot out there… |

Well, for better or worse, that catches me up with all…
Except for the Rizzo and his old friends thing. I guess I was that old friend and old neighbor to a few friends when I left MD. I feel a bit bad for the neighbors, as my old house, which was pretty decent and extremely viable when I left is still standing empty. The fence is falling down, the property doesn’t get regular mowing, whereas I even mowed paths on the woods, surely closed back in now. I used to mow one lady’s lawn, which her rather lazy son, who has since passed away wouldn’t despite living only a few doors away.
I used to “let” another neighbor on the land to collect my downed trees for firewood. But I’m gone now and no longer pine for the house, the wooded back yard that overhung my back deck.
The moving indeed solidified my divorce and my son’s estrangement . I grew up a lot more… I’d do it all again to get here. It’s not a gorgeous home, but it’s okay. It’s the best life I’ve ever lived and I’m betting your friend will find the same thing in his future…

Another W in the books. Mr NON-Clutch goes deep. that was not a stat padder. actually exhaled a bit when he hit it. felt a lot better going into the 9th with a 4-run lead rather 2 especially knowing probably no holmes. for better or worse, love him or hate him, he's here and he's gonna play. and yeah understand all the negatives - the DH, can't run and can't field, but if he stays healthy (always a big if), he'll hit 35-40 HRs w 85-90 RBI. generally you'd sign up for that. he lengthens the lineup and though he "can" be pitched to, nevertheless he represents a problem for other teams. they do fear and respect him. that's all you can ask for.

Not to mention those glorious hot streaks. Every time he homers I hope he’s about to start one. Yes, he’s here, so all in all I’d rather cheer for him when he awakens then be in the blues because he hasn’t. He’s one of baseball’s true oddities…Not many of those left. Most players seem to be out of a 3D printer these days… |

If you mean Stanton, it was a pretty bit hit at the time, doubling the lead and allowing Boone to follow through on his plans to give Holmes a second day off in a row. No matter how good the team is rolling I just can't root for him. I want him to get 50 HRs and lead the team to a WS win BUT I will be dancing and celebrate the day he is no longer a Yankee.
