In my opinion, it looked like Gil could have went another inning. Did the Yankees change their minds about Gil not having any innings limit?

In my opinion, it looked like Gil could have went another inning. Did the Yankees change their minds about Gil not having any innings limit? according to pedro martinez on the post-game, he thought gil was "pushing" the ball the previous inning. usually a sign of fatigue. plus he was only 12 pitches shy of 100, so maybe boone preferred kahnle starting w a clean inning. and yeah despite their denials, think we'll probably see a bit more of this where they try to save some pitches on his arm. |
