So...who wants to let Verdugo walk? What to do with Jasson Rodriguez if they keep both Verdugo and Soto? Do what they can to move Stanton. BTW...it's Dominguez. |

Slider waist high misses outside by 4 inches, called a strike anyway, bad call, 0-1 on Castro
FB about 3-4 inches above the slider, chased and missed, 0-2
Bounces a back leg slider, 1-2
Same pitch same bounce same take same result, 2-2
Fb on the high outside corner, spoiled. Another long at bat to start the 3rd.
FB misses inside at the top, 3-2. From 0-2 to 3-2
Slider starts in the zone in the middle, drops below the knees, swung over for the K, 1 down.
5 K's so far, but also 40 pitches in 2 1/3 innings. I'd be a lot happier Flats, if some of these K's were 3 or 4 pitches

FB down the middle, Santana smashes it toward the 56 hole, but Volpe dives to his left, backhands, gets up and fires it to 1st, Rizzo digs it out,2 down. Excellent play there.

So many pleasant surprises this season, but Rodon going from a high priced waste to an all star contender is near the top.

And you're right, I don't know why I vapor lock on Dominguez' name so often, but I do. So...it was just about this time last year when Judge got hurt. As I recall, you felt he shouldn't have gone 100% that early in the season in a "meaningless" game. Do you feel Verdugo should've pulled up on that play? |
