Slider turns outside to Grishaam, 1-0 Tries to push bunt it by Thielbar, an odd choice, because the bunt is to the 3rd base side, and that's where the lefty falls off to, so it's easy for Thielbar to go the same direction and cut it off before it gets by the mound, throws him out, inning over.
Top 8, 8-5 Yanks.

From the MLB.com ap…
NEW YORK -- Heading into the 56-minute rain delay on Thursday night vs. Minnesota, the Yankees were riding the high of a bounceback fifth inning, responding with a run after the Twins threatened to close the gap on their early advantage. On the other side of the delay, New York’s starpower was noticeably diminished, as Juan Soto exited with left forearm discomfort when the top of the sixth finally got underway. Alex Verdugo took his place in the lineup.
Soto, who reached base on two walks in three plate appearances before exiting, was due to lead off the bottom of the sixth. There didn’t seem to be a preceding event on the field that triggered Soto’s removal. He made a couple of throws to second base in the top of the fifth, one from the right-field corner on Alex Kirilloff’s double and another on Carlos Santana’s RBI single. The velocity on Soto’s throws on those plays was 75.3 mph and 58.4 mph, respectively.
Soto entered Thursday night as one of the main talismans for the surging Bronx Bombers, who were going for their eighth straight win. The left-handed slugger was slashing .365/.488/.841 in his past 18 games, crushing eight home runs and adding 19 RBIs and 16 walks...

Players usually get MRI's the next day at a facility that actually has one of those beasts.

Vazquez... FB outside, 1-0 Change bounced over the middle of the plate, 2-0 Change low, outer half, 3-0 FB gets a piece at the top of the zone near the corner inside, Vazquez spins out of there for no real reason, gets ball 4 called. Gameday says that one was a 10-20% strike. Vazquez walks.

Not fond of having to go this deep into the bullpen. Especially when we have 8 on the board...

Margot... FB high on the outer half, 1-0 Change dives inside, bounced foul near his feet, 1-1 Change dives to the low, outside corner, fouled, 1-2 Slider well low, also outside a couple of inches, taken, 2-2 FB 3-4 inches inside, check swing, ball hits the bat, bounces foul straight down. Change on the corner inside, jams him a bit, but he keeps the hands in, and he muscles a soft liner into left for a hit, 1st and 2nd, 1 down for Jeffers.

Kahnle stays in to pitch to Correa as the tying run at the plate. Keep this one in the ballpark, Tommy.
