Going to a 5 year old t-ball game at 6:15 today. Really looking forward to it. Do they have a DH that doesn't play the field or have to run the bases at 100% in T-Ball or is that only on the Yankees? Asking for a friend. I bet half those 5 year olds could beat Stanton in a race. I kid. He's been above expectations this year. His OBP is a bit low but the power is there. |

Correa takes a sinker low, 1-0
Sinker was supposed to be well outside, that's where Wells set up, but it leaks back over the outer 3rd and Correa goes with it, lining to the seats in right for a solo HR, 1-0 Twins.

Kepler gets a 1st pitch sinker outer half, pops it to short left, easy play for Judge inning over.
1-0 Twins, going bottom 1.
9 pitches in the 1st for Stroman but he gave up a run.

Sinker inside, above the waist, bounced foul near his feet, 0-2
Slider way outside, 1-2
Curve to the knees, outer 3rd, taken for the ꓘ. 1 down. Volpe may not have like the call, but it was correct, 25-30% on Gameday.

Anyone that read qwik's pregame notes knows that Correa has great numbers against Stroman. And they just got a bit better, unfortunately. Slider below the inside corner, 1-0 on Soto FB outside at the knees at 97, 2-0 Slider into the top of the zone in the middle, taken 2-1 Swings over the change going just below the knees in the middle, 2-2 Takes his timeout FB about 4-5 inches above the top outside corner, 3-2 Fb misses just low on the inner 3rd, Soto starts and maybe went, but the 3rd base ump gives him the call. Wrists broke and bat head went past home on the side view. Soto got a big break on that call. Walk. |

Soto gets away with one as it looks like he went, but he's awarded first base on the check swing walk anyway.

Slider about 4-5 inches outside, waist high, hit high to center, Castro goes back a step, then comes in 3-4 steps and catches, 2 down.

Can't check on the curve about 4-5 inches outside at the knees. 1-1

Sinker misses up and in, makes Stanton bend back out of the way, 3-1
Sinker inside by 5-6 inches above the waist, ball 4.
1st an 2nd, two down for Rizzo.

Change misses outside by about 3-4 inches near the knees, 1-0 on Rizzo.
Slider winds up just low, but a good frame by Vazquez gets the call, 1-1. Gameday says 1-2% strike, so maybe not.
Swings over a slider down and in near the corner, 1-2
Change tails outside letter high, Rizzo late and under, hits a routine fly to center, easy play for Castro, inning over.
Top 2, 1-0 Twins.
Lopez throws a scoreless first, but needs 23 pitches to get through it.
Castro, Miranda and Santana for the Twins in the 2nd.

Fouls off a sinker just outside and below middle, 3-2
Spoils a thigh high splitter barely on the corner away.
Hangs a cutter inside middle and Santana pulls it into the corner in left, goes to the wall for a two-out double.
