Not really a fan of Sat Night games but have a busy day with lots of errands. Will be nice to get everything done then sit back to catch the game tonight. And I can mow my grass this afternoon if it doesn't rain.

Mow it...fertilize it...water it....so you can mow it again. It's a guy thing. Absolutely...did more than my share of it. Many enjoyable days traversing 3 acres on a riding mower.

Of course...lots of time to ponder, and a great sense of accomplishment. Nothing like standing back and admiring a healthy, well-mown, trimmed lawn. I get a kick out of the Scott's commercials with the Scottish spokesman. Funny stuff...

As for the Yanks, no problem. You have to lose sometime and it was a close game. Just gotta turn around and win tomorrow… Was the Yankees 2-1 loss to the Dodgers in extra innings on Friday night incredibly frustrating? Absolutely. Whenever Cody Poteet goes inning-for-inning with Yoshinobu Yamamoto for more than half the game, you probably should win at home. Nonetheless, this year still remains different. The Yankees are the best team in baseball even with their glaring roster issues, which fans decided to lament about all over social media when they didn't get their way. Some of these lunatics really are expecting a 162-0 season and cannot handle a single difficult loss even if it's a blip on the radar in the midst of a current 12-3 run. It's time to get a grip, folks. It's time to remove yourself from the grind of the viewership of the 162-game season and realize losses will happen — bad ones, too! It's time to realize that consistency of such losses feels far gone compared to what we experienced from 2020-2023. If the Yankees lose a heartbreaker after how flawlessly they've been playing, go enjoy a cocktail. Write a journal entry. Call a friend. Go to town on a heavy bag. Save the (despair) for when it actually matters, like when these losses become a trend or when the vibes inexplicably die. You're actually killing the vibe, and it will prove to be a total waste when they win on Saturday. www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/yankees-extra-innings-loss-to-dodgers-brings-out-the-worst-new-york-fans-possible/ar-BB1nQm5u?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=b7e14ed7dca442779b5006dd7758d2bb&ei=50

I know we can't win them all but that Grisham at bat really pissed me off! It changed the entire inning. If he gets Jones over to third, Boone could have sent Soto up for Trevino and the Dodgers waked him, you have Volpe with a chance to win the game. I did not understand the decision to try a sac bunt. Would'nt a ground out to 2nd do the same thing...and be easier ?

We never know when the rain is coming back… I have two more sections of about 1/4 acre each that I need to walk for notability. From where I’ve checked them one appears to be full of borrowing animal holes, so I may leave that one alone. I did walk the other one a bit already, but I need to walk it more carefully. I already added about 1/2 acre a couple weeks ago. It have harbored a few animals in the past, so I want to make sure there’s no barbed wire, hay bale string or “other” that I don’t want to hit with the mower…

The only guy who brought a bat to the game last night was #99...and maybe Volpe. His leadoff at bat turned out to be a big play in the game.
