True or not, I’ve seen it attributed to Will Rogers, Mark Twain, Twain’s counter ego, Samuel Clemens and others…

Florial can play OF and run the bases. Don't we have a guy on the roster that can't do that?

I get the he is going to crush a few very long HRs but the majority of his at bats are ugly Ks and he offers nothing else.
Does he offer leadership or mentoring? I know a few guys have improved with just a few months of Soto. Did Stanton offer anything to the young guys except you don't have to give it all and earn it as long as you got an albatross contract.

You gotta be fair. Well maybe you don't but you should None of us has any idea of what Stanton does with the younger folks on the team. But I cannot point to any Stanton incident that reflected poorly on the Yankees. Is he a one trick pony ? Yes he is. But he also ranks 24th in MLB in SLG. I was one of the few Yankee fans who did not jump for joy when the Yankees got Stanton. His game has one dimension...but he is doing it pretty well this year.

He is what he is. We all know it. We see the K’s, the pop ups, the ground balls that could easily wind up being triple plays at some point. But when he blisters one, it stays blistered.
As for his mentoring, he’s a kind and gentle sort of man that gets his work done and has gone to great lengths to improve his value to the team this year. I don’t care if he doesn’t field. There’s a rule that allows for a DH. I didn’t want him out the the last three years, I thought the theory that it would keep him limber was dumb…
I could see batting him lower in the lineup, but right now isn’t the right time with so few hot bats. I could see him being platooned, but unless we change our bench, who do we platoon him with.
He’s a sort of modern day Dave Kingman, though with a better personality. We’d take him now, too… if we could. He still scares pitchers. They know they can’t make mistakes with him…

I just have to let it go but have a hard time. I don't know what I will enjoy more. A Miami Dolphin's Championship when I'm not in diapers or Stanton no longer a Yankee.

Stanton Sux and should have been traded the second he hit his annual hot streak He will bat below .200 if he has the opportunity ... in otherwords if he doesnt get hurt last 20 games he's under .200 and under a.700 OPS ... he's well on his way to achieving those season numbers
Dont be blinded by a hot start ... it's still Stanton

Stanton had turned down a chance to go to the Giants before coming to the Yankees from the Marlins.

Well than Mr Cashman and Mr Boone need to sit down with Mr Stanton and his NO TRADE CLAUSE and advise him he is now the 25th man on the roster. He can be a defensive replacement, sent in to run, or pitch hit. Hard to feel bad for a guy making $30 million a year.

If they picked up 1/2 of that another team can acquire him for approx. $11M year. Very cheap by today's standards.

Yanks are committed to out-of-pocket cost of $50M for years 25-27. If they picked up 1/2 of that another team can acquire him for approx. $8M year. Very cheap by today's standards. If they pay all of it, someone might take him. We may have to include a decent prospect even then. For appearance sake the other team will need to relinquish a couple of their wild-card prospects. Cubs-Reds-Rangers all lack power at DH and all have possibilities of reaching the playoffs. Get it done before he gets injured. The clock is ticking. And yes, pay the man to give up his not trade clause. But him a pickup truck, too. Anything he wants…

Either way, I believe Yanks can move him if they pick up part of his contract.
