Just DFA this guy so we don't have to see him pitch again. I'm flabbergasted he's still here. Doesn't make a lick of sense to me. He much have some dirt on somebody...

Volpe takes a strike then grounds out to Kike at 3rd, 1 down.

Verdugo works the count to 2-2, then tops a sinker to the left of 2nd, Betts fields to the left of 2nd, throws him out, 2 down.

I don't think I've ever been less excited about a Judge HR.

Judge with a very A-Rod like Stat Pad.

Judge gets a sinker inner 3rd and hits a ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ solo HR to right center to cut the lead to only 8, 11-3 Dodgers. Not even gonna bother with the statcast numbers, guys.

Umps delaying the game for some unknown reason. Maybe the Dodgers are using an illegal player and will have to forfeit? LOL

First time we've lost a series since the early days of May. Again - most important thing is ensuring Juan Soto's healthy.
Meanwhile - I'd look to DFA Dennis Santana and bring up Marinaccio.
Also - not a crisp game defensively. Gleyber gotta be better. Verdugo had a bad read, but he's been solid.
The Kahnle walks hurt too.... the GS was a bummer, but he was generally solid in limiting HRs off changeups before the granny.
Lot of missed opportunities with RISP too.

When an already crappy pitcher doesn't show any hustle, that should be a ticket to DFA land. Speaking of DFA, I wonder if the Pirates have any of those mediocre pitchers they're ready to give up on. We seem to be pretty good at restoring them. Chapman? Again, GMTA, look at my reply just above. Stanton jammed by a 1-1 cutter inside, his soft flare behind 2nd is caught easily by Mookie, game finally over. Dodgers pound the Yanks and take the series as well, first series loss for the Yanks in the last 11. Dodeers win 11-3. O's and Jays pick up a game, Red Sox and Rays stay where they are. O's now 2 1/2 back, Sox 12 1/2 back, and the Rays and Jays are tied for 4th-5th at 31-33, 13 games back.

Glad you stopped by, even if just for a moment at the end.

OK, series finale is tomorrow and the Yanks face Tyler Glasnow, who they usually don't hit if he's healthy, and he's healthy right now. He's 6-4 with a 2.93 ERA for the Dodgers and leads the NL in K's. Luis Gil gets his toughest test since the O's series. His streak of 7 outstanding starts on the line against a suddenly confident Dodgers team. He's 8-1 on the season, and leads the AL in ERA at 1.82 and all of MLB in fewest H/9 innings at 3.9. Game is the SundayNightDennyLemieuxMemorial"MakeMeSick"inSpiteOfConeyCast on ESPN at 7:10 pm.
I've already checked my notifications and answered them, so I'll just say good night to all. Bye!
