Yankee fans getting a taste of what other teams' fans get when Yanks visit. I'm sure the hotels, bars and restaurants in NYC are enjoying this. Dunno...I wonder how many are diehard Brooklyn Dodger fans who refuse to give up the ghost.

The Yankee Fans take over everyplace they play. We took over the West Coast last week. I have no problem with the Dodger's fans coming out to NY as long as everyone is respectful.

Ok, the early AL East games sare done...
The O's broke it open with 3 in the 9th and beat the Rays for a 2nd day in a row, 5-0. The White Sox knocked out Brayan Bello with a 5-run 5th to win their 2nd straight after losing 14 in a row, 6-1 over the Red Sox. Kevin Gausman went all the way on a 5 hit shutout with 10 K's and only one BB, and the Jays knocked out ex-Yankee prospect Lusi Medina with a 5-run 5th inning of their own on their way to a 7-0 whitewash of the A's in Oakland, evening that series at a game apiece.
Going into tonight's game, the Yanks lead the O's by just 3 games, the Sox fall 1/2 game bck to 13 games behind in 3rd. The Jays and Rays are re-tied for 4th an 5th at 31-33, 13 1/2 games out of 1st.

Let's get off to a good start. And that means Cortes not giving up runs in the first inning before he gets on a roll.

Fox shoveling some extra analysis, canned videos and commercials, and scheduled 1st pitch is now delayed 7 minutes already.
OK, Cortes throwing his warmups, Mookie Betts getting ready to step in.

Another freaking pre-game interview, delaying the start.
Mookie steps in; game underway... FB huits the edge of the corner up and away, not called, 1-0. 10-20% on Gameday

Fb outside, 2-0 FB is low, but called strike 1 anyway, a makeup? 0% on Gameday Slider low in the zone, inside middle, Mookie hits a fly to medium deep center, Grisham goes back and catches, 1 down.

FB above the zone ball 1. Cutter above middle, swung under, 1-1 on Ohtani Cutter in more or less the same spot, fouled off 1-2 FB waist high outside middle, fouled off. Nestor throwing 92-5 (!) so far. FB outside at 94, taken 2-2 Slider low/away, Ohtani checks in time, ball 3. Cutter starts outer 3rd, dives outside, Ohtani pulls off it and tips it into the mitt for the K, 2 down.

Nestor doesn't really throw 94-5. It could be the FOX gun is "hot", and maybe was in use last night, which might be why Yammamoto was throwing 96-7-8 instead of 94-5-6 as usual.
Freeman... Fouls off a FB on the corner away, 0-1 Another FB at 83 a bit outside, he lifts it to left center, easy play for Grisham, inning over.
Bottom 1, 0-0 13 pitch 1-2-3 for Cortes in the 1st.
