It's a strange road trip. Flying to Kansas City and then back to the northeast and Boston, instead of another midwestern city, like Chicago. Kind of like the Yankees playing the Giants in San Francisco but not playing the A's in Oakland on the same road trip. That would've been a really long road trip. They'll catch A's & Mariners back-to-back in September. |

To me that was always a big knock on Jeter's Captaincy. When A-Rod was going through the boos and BS the Captain never stepped up to put it to bed or support A-Rod.

To me that was always a big knock on Jeter's Captaincy. When A-Rod was going through the boos and BS the Captain never stepped up to put it to bed or support A-Rod. In my opinion, after what A-Rod said about Jeter, Jeter doesn't owe ARod anything. Just like Munson didn't owe Jackson anything. |

Then play the Padres and Mariners in September. They were in Anaheim immediately following the San Diego series. Made sense to play those series back-to-back. Lot of distance between San Diego & Seattle. If anything they could've included San Francisco in September with Oakland/Seattle. |
