Once again, the ball finds the guy they are interviewing, not that Verdugo could have made that play any differently. I'm surprised Verdugo could go that long without dropping a couple of F Bombs. He's learning there's a time and a place for everything. Our little boy is growing up. |

FB up and in to Stanton misses high at 96, 1-0
Slider dives below the knees in the middle, Stanton must start early, swings over.
Slider backs up high, 2-1
Tries to tail the sinker to the corner away, misses just outside, 3-1
That was 97
And so was the FB just above the waist, inner 3rd, Stanton jammed, popped high to Mookie at short, 1 down.

I’m getting the Yanks in Spanish, which simply means sound muted. How bizarre. If I understand Spanish, it’s free… if not, some crap about registering with my TV provider. This is American, right? … You could have ESPNDeportes on by mistake. Honestly, I'm trying to learn Spanish for work and I'll listen to the Yankees' Spanish announcers sometimes just to "immerse" myself in the language. They're pretty good actually. I'm not sure how the ESPN announcers are. |

FB low on the outer 3rd at 98, 1-0 on Grisham
Gets a break on the FB at the high outside corner, it was a strike not called, 2-0
That one the same but 3-4 inches lower, called a strike correctly.
Slider down and in, barely checks in time, 3-1
FB above middle, misses under, fouled back.
FB well low at 98, below the inside corner, and as he should for walking Grishman, Glasnow drops a very loud f-bomb.

Slider on the outer 3rd above the waist, late and fouls it off, 0-2
Jussssssssssssst a bit high with a 97 FB over everything, bounces off the screen back to Smith, but by then, Grisham is at 2nd on the WP, 1-2
Curve low in the middle but in the zone, rolled over to Betts, holds Grisham throws out Torres, 2 down.

Now I see the plan. Grisham bats 5th. Glasnow is laughing so hard he walks him… Actually, Grisham did an excellent job to get Glasnow to rush the ball 4 pitch. He slow-rolled his return to the box and readiness after the prior foul ball, causing Glasnow also to slow his routine. Next thing you know, Glasnow had to take a sign quickly and release the ball at 1 second on the pitch clock. |

Same pitch, not as bad a swing, but still misses it for the K.
