BTW the beautiful old Singer Building in the Financial District remains the tallest building ever deliberately destroyed by its owners during the era of cultural vandalism in the late 60s-early 70s. The era that killed Penn Station and very nearly Carnegie Hall. It was briefly the tallest building in the world, replacing Philadelphia City Hall and bumped out by the thankfully still-standing Met Life Building in NYC. There is a wonderful Singer Building still standing in St. Petersburg Russia, which for my money is second only to Paris for the most beautiful city in Europe.

Updating the other AL East games:
O's lead the Braves, 3-0 top 6.
Cubs took a 1-0 lead on the Rays, Christopher Morel hit his 13th HR in the 4th. That games is bottom 5 now.
Phillies take a 3-1 lead on the Red Sox in the 4th on a two run error by Sox' 1st baseman Dominic Smith.

Singer has finished his warmups. Volpe steps into the box.
Game underway, sinker above middle taken for strike 1.
Slider low in the middle, driven deep to left center, carrying and carrying...off the top of the wall, rebounds back, and by the time they recover, he's racing around to 3rd with a leadoff triple. Good start.
