Garcia takes a slider that gets a piece of the corner away, thigh high, 0-1
Sinker in a bad spot, drop the bat happy zone down and in, hit hard to the 56 hole, Volpe backhands, and with Garcia running, doesn't try to set, but tries a Jeter jumpthrow that's offline to the home plate side, and Rizzo can't catch as it hits Garcia. Rizzo deftly avoiding a serious injury there. Infield hit, man on 1st, 1 down for Witt.

Witt chases a slider outside by 3-4 inches, low in the zone, pops it foul to Witt, halfway down the line, 2 down.
