Exactly the type of player this team needs. Hope he's there next year... Unless Dominguez can play 2B(?) there is no place for Verdugo in the OF. For sure Yankees need a contact hitter to deliver runs. Of late LeMahieu has not been effective. Hopefully he can up his game after his IL stint Do what they need to do to move Stanton. Verdugo, Dominguez, Soto, Judge OF/DH. Move Gleyber to 3B...Cowles, Durbin, ? at 2B. |

Pipps, have you ever been to the Shady Maple Smorgasbord in East Earl, Pennsylvania? Amish buffet. I saw a video on it last night. Largest smorgasbord in the US. I was there once. Amazing crowd and excellent food. I think I had fried chicken. We’re going back about 35 years here… The fried chicken looked wonderful. Everything was made from scratch throughout the day. Even had scrapple. |

I know we went to an Amish restaurant once that we decided against. They served family style, so if you wanted the mashed potatoes you asked someone to pass them. It just felt uncomfortable with total strangers. It was obvious that we weren’t their target market because the greeter explained the rules and regulations before we went in.
We looked at the crowd at the table and we were definitely dressed differently from the other folks… so we slinked away… slunk? We got the hell out of there…

Everything was made from scratch throughout the day. Even had scrapple. Scrapple is as popular with the Amish as it is in Philly. PA Dutch food is always very fresh. They have a delicious chicken pot pie that is more like a stew with big chunks of chicken and large fat noodles and fresh veggies. No crust on top. I'm getting hungry thinking about it. |
