Great pitch, not sure it was really a strike, but a great pitch, Velazquez wasn't doing anything with that one. YES zone said 0%, Gameday says about 5% strike, and, as usual, Statcast zone gives 3 more inches top and bottom, says it's 100% strike by a little. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I did a little research into YES's K-box. The horizontal plane is set at the width of the plate and does not account for parallax (the change in angle based on the fact that the camera is not flush in CF. The vertical plane is even worse. It's simply programmed per batter based on their physical appearance. If you look at the different zones, even in this inning, it's clear that the YES folks want to account for Judge's larger zone, but then Torres' box is barely above his belt.

There are programs out there that take tons of data into account but those systems, to this point, don't spit out immediate results.
