So good to see ya GF! What a wondrous game! Hope your boys and you had as much fun as we did watching it! Definitely one for the ages! Ranks second to the 2003 ALCS Game 7 for best game I've ever seen live.

Ranks second to the 2003 ALCS Game 7 for best game I've ever seen live. It was a great experience for all of us. My little guy was miserable in the top of the first. I told him to hang in there, for sure the Yanks would score more than 3 runs, maybe the bullpen can hold them... For once, Dad was right. Taking them Sunday for their first taste of October baseball in person.

That's great that you guys are going to Game 3. Which section did you find seats in? I have to say the atmosphere there was something else. Your boys are going to have a wonderful time! There's nothing like October in the Bronx!

But you can't have everything.

Their first game at YS was this one - www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/NYA/NYA201706110.shtml with great seats behind the Yankees dugout. So it is quite possible I already have spoiled them and set their expectations too high that you just show up and all they do is win, win, win no matter what.

A Judge 4 for 4 with 2 HR game...awesome and jealous! It was ridiculous. Sanchez, Judge, Castro. Before the 2nd Judge HR my youngest was saying he wanted to see another HR and I'm in the middle of explaining that it doesn't work like that, HRs are hard to hit and bam he crushes a line drive HR.

"You're not taking your starter out of the game in the first inning!" twitter.com/i/web/status/915478019581636608"It's a ridiculous thing to bring up". Except that's exactly what happened. Can't predict baseball, Suzyn!

I'm not at all discouraged by Severino's start. It was his first post-season start, so he was amped up. I even mentioned to Ruthie that the first pitch he threw in the game was 100 MPH, and he's usually around 97 or 98 until the middle innings when he adds another MPH or too. He was just over-throwing a bit. I'd bet money on the lad in his next start, even if Rothschild has to sit on the mound in a rocking chair beside him to calm him down a bit...
