Rizzo fouls off a wais thigh FB outer 3rd, 0-1 Splitter outside, 1-1 Cutter a bit above the waist near middle, fouled back, a bit under it as usual for Crawford. Splitter stays above the waist, outer 3rd, Rizzo misses, fouls it off. Cutter in the zone up and in ties him up, hits a slow grounder to Devers playing well off 3rd, throws him out, 2 down.

4 guys working this game, yet they can't just talk about the game.

The only surprise about that last pitch to Stanton is that he didn't swing at it. It wouldn't matter if he did. His bat hasn't reached that low in the zone since 2019.

Sweeper well high is ball 1. FB outside middle above the waist, taken 1-1 FB just high near middle, 2-1 Cutter breaks 4-5 inches off the plate away, taken, 3-1. Torres started, but checked in plenty of time Cutter on the corner above the waist, taken, 3-2. Two decent pitches to hit, both ahead in the count, both taken FB outside corner thigh high, late spoil Sweeper above the zone, Torres thinks it's a FB swings early and under, K. Inning over.
Bottom 2, 1-0 Yanks. 1-2-3 but 18 pitches needed, 33 through 2 for Crawford.
Wong, Yoshida and Valdez for the Sox in the 2nd.

Stroman insults Wong with a 90 mph sinker just outside and below middle, taken, 0-1 Sinker 3-4 inches high on the inner half, 1-1 Chases a bad slurve about 8 inches outside near the bottom of the zone, 1-2 Doesn't chase an even worse slurve way outside and down, 2-2 Bounces a split well outside, no chance for a chase, out of the zone the whole way, 3-2 Sinker tailing to the outer 3rd low in the zone, hit hard to the left of 2nd, Volpe gets down to glove, slips, resets, throws out Wong. 102 mph on that groundout.

Just think what the numbers would be if Judge would have had an average start to the season?
