Cutter up and in jams him, but the flare to short right center falls in, as Verdugo broke late on that one. Valdez to 3rd with 2 down, and Stroman is in another jam.

Slurve turns left, breaks just outside, called strike 1 anyway. Gameday says 1-5% so maybe I'm wrong.
Slider to more or less the same area, fouled off, 0-2.
Trevino goes out to tell the infield about a throw to 2nd.
Hangs a slider down the middle, but Rafaela misses, fouls it off. Lucky there.
Slider never in the zone, dives outside.
This guy should be trickable, but he probably makes contact on bad balls out of the zone.
Slider just outside, Smith steals 2nd as Trevino holds the throw.
Slider bounced outside, 3-2, great backhand stab by Trevino to save the WP.
Slider in the middle letter high, fouled back.

Slider thigh high, 3-4 inches outside, hammered back up the middle to the left of 2nd, Volpe slides to his left despite having no play at all, goes into center for a 2 run single.
You have to be able to K some guys in the contemporary game. Let enough balls be put in play and somoe of them find holds, like the Smith bloop or that grounder. 2-0 Sox.

Splitter outside, taken Rafaela goes, cutter hits the top of the zone, not called, bad call, 50-50 on Gameday, and the throw bounces past Volpe into center, SB, E-2 moves Rafaela to 3rd with 2 down. Splitter down the middle, fouled. Splitter bounced inner half, Duran chases and K's, inning over. |

Bad inning for Stroman. Shake it off. Not wild about the idea of needing 4 (or more) innings out of the bullpen yet again.
