Slider below the knees, outer half, rolled over to LeMahieu at 3rd, he goes to Torres for the forcee, just ahead of Mountcastle sliding in. Inning over. Bottom 1, 0-0 25 pitches for Nestor in the 1st, but he got through it without giving up a run. At 25 pitches an inning, Nestor should realize that he's going to have a bunch of nobodys in middle relief. Heck, I've got my phone next to me, because I might have better command than Clayton Andrews. |

Gameday is 2 full pitches ahead of my YES broadcast... make that 3 pitches. Volpe had grounded out before I saw ball 1.

FB in the zone down and in, Volpe rolls over on it to Henderson, easy out, 1 down.
Have to do better with a 2-0 FB down and in that that, Volpe.

Pitching around Soto? Maybe the right move, but it's way early for that.

Suarez walks Soto on 4 pitches, then Judge comes up, swings at a ball out of the zone and stares at a pitch in the zone. Sometimes I just don't understand.

FB painted on the inside corner at 95, waist high, 0-2
FB in the zone up and away, Judge nearly timed it, a bit late, fouled it off the right side
FB waist high, outside corner, Judge smacks it through the right side for a hit. Soto stops at 2nd with 1 out.
Not a cutter at all, Girardi, 94.5 FB.
