Ugh. Inexperienced 1B costs a baserunner. Nestor should've got over though. I'm not certain Gleyber gets that ball in time as he was shaded almost behind second base. |

Bad cutter down the middle, hit hard toward the 56 hole, Volpe dives to his right, catches, gets to a knee, throws to 2nd just ahead of Hays sliding in for the force. Good stretch by Gleyber to get the out. 1 down.

Slider outside, rollled over softly to Torries, he backflips to Volpe, who should hold the relay especially with Rice at 1st, the throw is high and way too late, but Rice grabs it to prevent the error.
Man on 1st, 2 down and McCann up.

FB gets a tiny piece of the corner low/away, not called, 1-5% on Gameday
FB above middle, but McCann misses it, 1-1
Same FB, almost the exact same spot, and McCann hits a fliner to right, but right near Soto, who catches it, inning over.
