Flies open misses up/away with a FB
Change outside at the top, 2-0
CChange into the top of the zone near middle, 2-1
FB near middle at the top, Torres misses, fouled off, 2-2. Sigh.
FB high would be ball 3, but Torres fouls it.
Bounces the curve near middle, 3-2. Torres starte but barely checked.
Change in the middle at the top, belted deep down the left side, but hooks foul. Almost a granny.
Cutter inside letter high, fouled.
Curve down and in, fouled.
10th pitch of the at bat...
FB in the middle at the top, fouled again.
FB above middle, gets under it to left, Cowser catches, Soto scores on the sac fly, 1-1.
As with yesterday, I'll take the sac fly, but Torres could've and probably should've done better with that meatball on the 11th pitch of the at bat.

DJ ends the threat by striking out looking. He has really hurt this lineup since returning. I'd rather Waldo at this point.

He turns to 2nd, and Stanton is caught, but no one covered, so he survives
Misses a FB at the high outside corner, 0-2
Takes a curve outside, 1-2
Curve misses clean outside by 2-3 inches, called strike 3 anyway, quiet receiving by Rutschman gets the bad call his way. O% on Gameday. Not horrible, but not close, really. >|, inning over.
Top 2, 1-1
Yanks get the run back, but let Povich off the hook, might come back to haunt them.

Cowser works the count to 3-0, then gets under a FB inside corner at 94, jammed a bit, pops to Volpe, 1 down.

1st pitch FB up and in, hit hard to Volpe's right, he dives/falls to his backhand to glove it, gets up, wheels around and throws out Urias to end the inning.
O's hit two balls hard but come away empty. 1-1 going bottom 2nd.
7 pitch 1-2-3 for Cole, 20 through 2, getting Povich right back out there after his long 1st inning.
Rice, Trevino and Grisham for the Yanks.
