So, if Judge is able to play today, why couldn't he pinch hit last night with the game on the line? Does Waldo try to steal if Judge is coming up?

Another shaky start. Hope i'm wrong, but don't have a great feeling about this one in my gut. Unearned run due to Soto's error, or it's a 1-2-3 inning. |

Soto takes a FB above and inside middle at 91, 0-1
Swings through a slow curve dropping into the top of the zone near middle, 0-2
FB missed by the plate wound up inner 3rd, and Soto fouls it back.
Curve to the low outside corner, bounced foul off 1st
Curve hangs up and in, Soto pulls it well foul
Slow curve outside middle has Soto off balance, his soft liner is caught by Mountcastle at his shoetops, 2 down.

Wow, they gave Henderson a hit on that obvious misplay by Soto. So, Gil gets an earned run attached to his line.

FB waist high, outside middle, lined to the left of 2nd for a leadoff single. Bad pitch on two strikes, relied on stuff against a very good FB hitting team.

Mullins gets a bad hanging slider just below and outside middle and he lofts it to the Porch in right for a 2 run HR, 3-0 O's.

Oh well... Gil doesn't have it.. Mullin, the power hitter.. Very bad news...
It will be very interesting to see how the Yanks respond in the bottom of the second..

Waist high FB, outer 3rd, rolled over to Cabrera, throws him out, 1 down.
Was not the first slider he threw today, Coney. Threw one on the 1st pitch to Westburg, and he swung at missed a good one. That one to Mullins was a bad one.

Change hits the low outside corner, not called, ball 4. Terrible call, 60-70% on Gameday, but maybe Trevino had to reach for it and that blew the call.
