FB inner 3rd near the corner, fouled down the right side.
O's challenging the hand, seeing if he can handle fastballs inside.
Maybe he can't handle those, but he can handle a mediocre FB just below and outside middle at 93, belts it deep into the bleachers in right center, Yanks get 2 more back, trail 8-3!
Good to see the hand is OK, at least.

1st pitch curve in the zone down and in, Stanton golfs it to the corner in left just misses under it, Hays catches on the track, inning over.
Top 4, 8-3 O's.
16 pitches for Irvin in the 3rd, 49 through 3.
6-7-8 for the O's, Westburg, Mullins and Hays in the 4th.
Twins tied it with 3 in the 9th, but the Rays scored their ghost runner in the 10th, and kept the Twins from matching and won 7-6.

Good full arm action change diving near the corner inside at the knees, swung over, K. 2 down. Westburg still at 3rd.

I don't remember Kahnle throwing this many sliders...Blake's influence, maybe??

Can't check on that full arm action change diving well below the outside corner, K's, inning over.

Good job by Kahnle. That change-up looks much better when he's painting 95 mph fastballs on the corners. I think I said about a week ago that he needs the FB at 95-6 to get separation. He's still not all the way back, but he has a chance now. Irvin has a problem with his Pitchcom. |
