Misses a change right near where the 1-1 FB was, K.
3 1/3 scoreless innings for Gomes, though it's exceedingly low leverage innings.

Oilers up 2-0, about 3 minutes into the 2nd pd in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
I'm not sure about this, but I think if the Oilers win tonight, it's the first time in Stanley Cup Final history a team has come from 3-0 to force game 7 since the 1942 Maple Leafs came back from 3-0 down to WIN the cup.

I get the feeling that now that he realizes the Yankee emperor has no clothes, we may be seeing a lot more of these type of games from him. Suddenly that half a billion asking price is starting to look more and more like a pipe dream. |

Sinker outside middle, grounded up the middle for a leadoff single, just the 2nd hit for the Yanks.
And that pretty much ends Chavez' All-Star case for inclusion. Give up a hit to Stanton, and you're not worthy.

If Gomes throws a 2nd scorless inning against THESE guys, then I'll be somewhat impressed.
